Coding has been a love/hate relationship for me. It is something I am passionate about however, it definitely takes a toll on my mind, body, and soul. This is my career path I want to take and I know it will be an arduous one. HTML, CSS, and JavaScript are the foundations of coding. There are many different languages, but the majority of people learn these languages first. For anyone who does not know, these languages are used for front-end web development. HTML is the bones of any website; it is the foundation for your house. CSS is the design, the aesthetics, that makes the website all pretty and makes you want to click buttons and interact with the page. Then there is JavaScript, the bane of my existence; it is the heart of your webpage. The electricity to your house. It is an intricate language that has been very difficult for me to understand and write. However, I am always up for the challenge and willing to take its lessons head on.
My Own Code
Developed by, Brendan Eich born July 4, 1961 is an American computer programmer who created the JavaScript language. JavaScript is a scripting language that enables you to dynamically update content, control multimedia, animate images, and pretty much everything else. MDN This language was launched in 1993 on a web browser called Mosaic. It was created for people with very little knowledge of computer programming. It played a pivotal role in dot-com boom and rapidly grew the World Wide Web. This has been one of the most challenging things I have ever had to learn. It has literally been the reason why I still code, on the other hand at time the reason I want to give up on my dream. It is the connection between HTML and CSS. It gives the functionality of all front end and back development. It is the interactive aspect of code. It is what gives you a pop up when you click a button, it is what captures data when you input it into a log-in field. The internet would not have its dynamic outlook without JavaScript.
JavaScript has given me a run for my money. I know a little bit about it, but I still do not feel comfortable enough to get a tech job. Nonetheless, I rise to the challenge and unwilling to let my lack of skill stop me from learning. I will be going into a bootcamp this next month in October and fingers crossed I take more from this opportunity then I thought I could. I keep moving forward and never allowing any obstacles to keep me from my dream. The tech industry is not going anywhere anytime soon, however I want to be a part of that moving train. I hope to develop something like Brendan Eich and leave my mark on the world.
